Trustee Advice
MKP have immense experience and have offered Trustee support services
since our formation in 1987.
The role of a Pension Fund Trustee is becoming more and more onerous
as legislation is being continually
updated.
The role of a lay Trustee is very important in the operational process.
The launch of a new Pension Regulator in April 2005
combined with the passing of the Pensions Act 2004 (effective 6th
April 2006) has now added to a Trustee's workload.
MKP can provide both Independent Trusteeship or a "Corporate
Trustee" via London & Caledonian Trustees Ltd
or indeed Lawrence Graham Trust Corporation. We have a strong working
relationship with both companies.
Professional advice is key and therefore MKP provide:-
- Advice to
Trustees on scheme design
- Interpretation of the Trust Deed & Rules
- Liaison with Scheme Investment Managers, Scheme
Actuary, Auditor & Scheme lawyers
- Preparation of Agenda's
- Taking of minutes (full secretarial)
- Pro-active advice on legislative changes
including MNT's
